Kolkata during Durga Puja is a must-do tour for people of all ages if you want to experience one of the most happening festivals of West Bengal, East India

Witness ‘the City of Joy’ come to stand still during the annual DURGA PUJA festivities. Held every year this annual Hindu festival signifying the victory of good over evil is also an integral part of the Bengali culture.

A 10-day event, of which the last five mark the popular practice, it is also a post-monsoon harvest festival. The festival features elaborate temple and stage decorations (pandals), scripture recitation, performance arts, revelry, and processions.

This tour gives you an opportunity to participate in the Durga Puja celebrations. You get a chance to see the puja, visit the various elaborately decorated temples and pandals hosting the statue, satiate your taste buds with the best of Bengali cuisines among other things and dance like crazy to the beats of the daak.

  • The dates of  2021’s Durga Puja are from 11th October to 15th October.
  • The main highlight of the Durga Puja besides its celebrations is Pandal hopping and its something that one shouldn’t miss  
  •  During puja pandal hopping you need to walk down from the parking place as per the traffic rule and system maintained by Kolkata Police. 
  • The itinerary can be extended by a few days more to include Kolkata city tour plus a few other excursions and destinations Shanti Niketan, Bishnupur, Murshidabad ,Sunderbans etc

Day 01: Arrive Kolkata.

On arrival at Kolkata Rly. Station/Airport. Transfer to hotel. During drive pass you can feel the festive mood of the city all around. Check-in at hotel. Relax for a while and proceed to explore the city for pandal hopping to enjoy the attractive and famous Durga Pujas of South Kolkata. Rest of the evening free to explore the festival mood on your own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kolkata – the city of great autumnal festival.

Today morning proceed for visiting famous Durga Puja of Belur Math, head quarter of Ramakrishna Math & Misson. Later drive to Dakshineswar Kali Temple. Explore the carnival moods in other famous Durga Puja grounds in Norh Kolkata including traditional houses. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03 : Depart Kolkata

oday morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Kolkata airport / railway station for your onward journey with great memories and joy of the festival.
