This One day tour of Amritsar city can be further extended to 2 Nights /3 Days (for those looking for a relaxing tour) and to 3 Nights/4 Days. The 3 Nights/4 Days tour will include a visit to a village in Panjab where one can enjoy a traditional Panjabi lunch, music and dance besides interaction with the locals.
Day 1- Full Day Amritsar City Tour
After a hefty breakfast at your hotel, you will start your full day Amritsar City Tour by seeking blessings at the Golden Temple-the most revered Sikh shrine also known as Harimandir Sahib and Darbar Sahib. After spending some time there, you will head off the Jallianwala Bagh- an historical site where many un armed innocents were killed as a result of brutal massacre by the then British general Reginald Dyer. After paying your respects , we will head for some mouth watering Panjabi lunch.
After lunch, we will visit the Durgiana Temple and the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum followed by a visit to the Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch the frenzy around the Flag Retreat Ceremony. A not to miss event , the "Beating the Retreat" ceremony sees soldiers from both the countryside showcase their strength through a serious of marches and drill.
Late evening head back to the hotel /point of drop.
