Tour overview

In this 5 Nights/6 Days Tour of Manipur  you will be embark on a tour of state capital of Imphal , an excursion to Loktak Lake as well as the the cultural village of Andro. You will also visit the Indian village of Moreh  and the Burmese village of Tamu -both located at the Indo Myanmar  border

Guests desirous of spending a few days more can extend their stay by a day or two to either  visit the picturesque hill town of Ukhrul ( 6 to 7 hrs) or go on a hike to Sirui Lily hills 

 

Day 1- Arrival at Imphal

Reach Imphal and check in. After some rest, visit the Women local market known as Khwairamband Keithel or IMA Market. Overnight at hotel in Imphal.

Day 2 : Imphal Local Tour

After breakfast, visit Kangla Fort,State Museum, Imphal War Cemetery, Manipur Zoological Garden , the Khonghampat Orchidarium ( home to 120 orchids) and the Shri Govindaji Temple. Built in the early 18th century by Rajarishi Bhagyachandra, the temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, also has idols of Lord Balram and Lord Krishna

Day 03: Day Tour to Loktak Lake

After B/fast head for a excursion to Loktak Lake-one of the largest freshwater lake of Northeast Also known as floating lake, indulge yourself in a boat ride(own cost).Later visit Keibul Lamjao National Park –home of the dancing deer and the INA Memorial where the Indian flag was first hoisted here by INA. If time permits, visit the temple of Lord Vishnu at Bishnupur-one of the oldest brick temples of Mainipur built in 1467.

Day 04: Imphal-Moreh-Imphal (110 kms/3-4kms one way)

Leave early in the morning to visit Moreh village located at the Indo-Myanmar Border. There we will cross over to Tamu – the Myanmar village to get a glimpse of their culture and traditions and to visit Namphanglong market. Namphanglong is a big market complex where you can buy Thai and Chinese products at reasonable prices. Evening back to Imphal for nightstay.

Day 05: Day trip to Andro

Today embark on a day trip to Andro Cultural Village. Located 25 kms from Imphal, Andro is famous for its handmade pottery which is made using traditional methods.Later visitn Kakching Garden. Evening return back to Imphal

Day 06: Depart Imphal

After breakfast transfer to Imphal airport to catch flight to home
